The Faces of Anchor Rising
We've been surprised to learn, over the past year or so, how many people don't entirely get how much of a group project Anchor Rising actually is. If the ventures of one of us bring a particular reader to the page, that writer has seemed to become the "face" of the blog for him or her. So, we've had local artist Colby Cook (email) create some portraits to give y'all a face with which to associate each post and to better convey the aggregate personality of Anchor Rising.
ADDENDUM:
As yet, we're unable to present a portrait of Mac Owens, but as soon as I'm able, I'll add one to this post. I'll do the same with any new contributors.
As someone who has actually met Justin in person, I can assure everyone that any resemblance between his portrait and Max Headroom (a fictional TV character in the 1980s) is purely coincidential. As for the over-emphasized forehead lines, I think the artist just caught him on a really bad day!

I have met Andrew at GOP meeting.The others I have not met or recall.Perhaps?
Saw him recently on Six On The Record twice.One week the original and the next week the repeat.Perhaps we can see them on "A Lively Experiment" and get them mentioned in the Political Scene in The Pro-Jo.Frequently I do not even know some of the names mentioned in the Political Scene but I suspect a number know or heard of Katz,Morse,Comtois,and Hawthorne.I even think the RI Future blogger should be on.I think they were both interesting,morse and I can't just know remember the RI Future blogger,my apology in my mind.Both blogs have their followers and have a read on Rhode Island thoughts!

Seriously, that art freaks me like rotoscopic animation in TV ads or Ted Turner's attempt to colorize classic black and white movies.

Since I'd hate to have my face haunting your dreams at night, let me offer you a different one you can think of to replace it.
Real photos, or an artist's rendering (or even a cartoon-type one) is fine. It's just when you try getting too artsy with a photo, disaster awaits.
