Lack of Introspection, Chapter I've Lost Count
Carroll Andrew Morse
Over at RI future, Pat Crowley argues that General Treasurer Frank Caprio's beliefs must lie outside of the Rhode Island's Democrat party mainstream, because the Treasurer appeared this weekend at an event sponsored by the Rhode Island Statewide Coalition…
It seems strange to me that Caprio, an elected Democrat, would spend any time with an organization that seems intent on attacking core Democratic values and constituencies. Just a quick perusal of the web site shows their antipathy for what even centrist Democrats believe (never mind us on the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party).Later this week, Mr. Crowley (along with East Providence Education Association President Valerie Lawson) will be appearing in a public forum with members of the International Socialist Organization.
I'll leave it to readers decide, using Mr. Crowley's own criteria, what this tells you about where the views of "the Democratic wing of the Democratic party" lie.

Posted by: Tom W at March 23, 2009 9:58 AMMaybe the time has come for PAT to change the spelling of his last name to CRAAAWLEY. I believe the new spelling would be more indicative of his actions. His attempt to have things only HIS way whether right or wrong is becoming more and more evident with each passing day. I know that Camels are to big to crawl under the tent without being noticiced after they've put their under it but Mr. Craaawley isn't . We should all be very wary of his intent now that he involves himself in such a myriad of issues.

Posted by: EMT at March 23, 2009 12:56 PMI'm sure the delicious irony of this will be completely lost on him. It's just so hard to imagine that an Alinskyite would associate himself with Socialists!
Posted by: Will at March 23, 2009 2:10 PMHonestly, its shame what Crowley is doing to that once respected blog. RIFuture has less and less crediblity everyday. Jerzyk should give back the $100 bucks or whatever and get it back.

Alinskyite. Socialist. Fascist. Marxist. Communist. Progressive. Democrat. Obamanistas.
Pluck off the duck feathers and you'll find that they're all collectivists underneath. ; -)

Would that be the political philosophy that has given us some of the worst bridges and highways in the country, schools that perform in the bottom 20%, property taxes that rank in the top 10%, very generous social programs (until just last year), a trashed economy and 10% unemployment?
Posted by: Monique at March 23, 2009 9:37 PMMonique is correct. Unfortunately, the democrats have let the Pat Crowley's hijack their party, and we are where we are today. If you don't march to their orders you will be eliminated. There are plenty of democrats that are fed up with the far left foolishness, but in Pat Crowley form, you are either with us or one of them sensible people. He and his cronies have no interest in what anyone elses thoughts are. Be a good robot and do what he says only.
