Cumberland is solidly at the bottom of per pupil expenditures. And yet, they are solidly in the middle of both NECAP rankings. And also in % of students at college mastery levels, albeit with low percentages taking the AP exams. How can it possibly be that they are competitive while spending 1/5th less than the state average PPE? Barrington looks to be another embarrassment for those who believe that more money is the only solution to achieving academic excellence.
