What Marriage Means to Children

I've got a piece in today's Providence Journal in which I attempt to explain a subtle mechanism whereby the simple change in the definition of marriage to incorporate same-sex couples can have a profound effect on society. It isn't about the effect on adults' current marriages, but on marriages yet to be consummated.

Sometimes, children are the shields behind which we adults hide our unfounded fears.
Posted by: rhody at June 8, 2009 9:33 PMIt is sad that a once respected newspaper has lowered it's standards so low that its unreadable. Deputy editor Edward Achorn has much to do with the obvious decline on the editorial pages.
