David Kahane lets us in on a little secret:
I don't know why I'm telling you this, but maybe now you're beginning to understand the high-stakes game we're playing here. This ain't John McCain's logrolling senatorial club any more. This is a deadly serious attempt to realize the vision of the 1960s and to fundamentally transform the United States of America. This is the fusion of Communist dogma, high ideals, gangster tactics, and a stunning amount of self-loathing. For the first time in history, the patrician class is deliberately selling its own country down the river just to prove a point: that, yes, we can! This country stinks and we won't be happy until we’ve forced you to admit it.In other words, stop thinking of the Democratic Party as merely a political party, because it's much more than that. We're not just the party of slavery, segregation, secularism, and sedition. Not just the party of Aaron Burr, Boss Tweed, Richard J. Croker, Bull Connor, Chris Dodd, Richard Daley, Bill Ayers, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and Emperor Barack Hussein Obama II. Not just the party of Kendall "Agent 202" Myers, the State Department official recruited as a Cuban spy along with his wife during the Carter administration. Rather, think of the Democratic Party as what it really is: a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.
Right on.

Posted by: jim cavanaugh at July 7, 2009 7:05 PMKahane's right (no pun intended).
The GOP doesn't understand that IT'S not in a political contest, but that WE'RE in a war for the founding principles of this country.
Posted by: Tom W at July 7, 2009 8:51 PMThis sounds like something from the mouth of Classy Freddie Blassie, Captain Lou Albano or the Grand Wizard of Wrestling.
Posted by: rhody at July 7, 2009 8:55 PMWow. All those thoughts that pass through my mind every time I read the news or watch it on TV, condensed succinctly in one paragraph.
Rhody, how about a challenge, instead of a snide remark for a change. What in Mr. Kahane's statement do you dispute? Facts please.
Posted by: George at July 8, 2009 1:39 AM "Criminal organization." Can be said about any political organization that has had at least one member convicted. But Kahane's just preaching to the converted - instead of being offended, I accept his views in the spirit of a well=prepared comedic performance.
Need I say more?
Fume? No. A publication that prints this kind of rant is not to be taken seriously. Buckley must be turning over in his grave. It appears that conservatives will need a few years more of this kind of adolescent tantrum, and very likely many more electoral losses, before allowing the grownups into the room again.
Posted by: Pragmatist at July 8, 2009 2:04 PMKahane sounds a little extreme(goes with the name,I guess)because there are some conservative Democrats and some wishy-washy liberal Republicans.
Posted by: joe bernstein at July 8, 2009 2:32 PMWhat's your point in printing this trash?

Truth hurts, don't it "Lefty"?
Posted by: George at July 8, 2009 9:14 PMsorry george, wouldn't call that article "truth". It takes EXTREME liberty with many of the points it raises, interesting article either way.
Posted by: steadman at July 8, 2009 9:35 PMGood job Justin
It's like I am always telling you... keep it simple..the shorter the better ..sow some discord and move on.
Keep up the good work. -SATAN
George,
If the truth does hurt, we'd never know it from the crap in this blog.
