This Just In: General Assembly to Come Out from Under the Bed... at Some Point

The Rhode Island General Assembly will return for two days next month – October 28 and 29 – to address a number of legislative issues.Speaker of the House William J. Murphy and Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed today jointly announced the October meeting dates. Agendas for the chambers – committees and formal floor sessions -- are currently being determined.
See, this way, they can run a day over and then drop their bombs late on the eve of Halloween. That is, of course, unless they decide to postpone until around Thanksgiving.
I was writing a short post on the same subject, when Justin put his up.
Here's my brief addition: The delay wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, if representatives were out in public, discussing what their plans were, and giving the constituents a chance to offer input.
Somehow, I don't think that's how the extra time will be used.
