Um, sir, aren't you ... well, second in command?
[H/T the Ocean State Republican which, at long last, is back on line.]
We are sure that didn’t mean it to come out like a paragraph from a Republican National Committee fundraising letter, but...Vice President Joe Biden said today that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama’s agenda.Biden said Republicans are pinning their political strategy on flipping these seats.
“If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do,” the vice president said at a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) today in Greenville, Delaware…Biden said these House seats are Republicans “one shot” at breaking the Obama administration’s agenda. But if Democrats can hold on to those seats, “the dam is going to break,” he said, and a new era of bipartisanship will begin.
I like to think of VP Biden as the GOP's "mole" in the White House. He's actually probably my favorite member of the administration, because he doesn't filter what he says.
Anyway, thanks for the h/t. We're glad to be back from the involuntary "vacation" and are looking forward to the upcoming election cycle.

Posted by: Will at September 23, 2009 12:45 AMLet me get this straight, if the Dems can hold on to those seats and keep their super majority, then a new era of BIpartisanship will begin? I'm sure he meant a new era of *partisanship*. We'll be force fed whatever Obama wants at that point.
Posted by: Patrick at September 23, 2009 6:44 AMThis just shows how disconnected from the people this administration is. He's saying, "here's how to save the President's agenda" and the people are hearing "here's how to stop our agenda". It's funny how Biden's remarks coincide with a Rasmussen poll showing 66% of Americans are angry with Government policy.

Unfortunately 60% say neither party has the answers.
