Admit it... we've all known this announcement was coming:
[Press Secretary] ROBERT GIBBS: Tonight at 9 P.M. Eastern time, President Obama will declare a War on Reality. He will call on all branches of government and volunteer organizations to stand together and fight against reality in all of its forms. ...Q: Turning to the economy, it seems that the trillion-dollar stimulus package passed last year has been a failure. Even using your own White House yardstick of unemployment. Are you contemplating another stimulus?
ROBERT GIBBS: Yes. Of course. The president believes along with his economic team that another round of stimulus spending is crucial.
Q: But isn't that just throwing good money after bad?
ROBERT GIBBS: No, Wendell, it's not. As part of the president's comprehensive War on Reality, our view is that the first stimulus package worked perfectly.
That's Justin's opinion. I'll stick with Thomas Friedman's on the subject. Mr. Friedman writes that much more stimulus money is required. Justin is a carpenter, Friedman, an economist with world class credentials.

From his own NYT biography page:
Friedman graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a degree in Mediterranean studies and received a master's degree in modern Middle East studies from Oxford
Friedman, a journalist, does not even pretend to be an economist.
Perhaps you mean Paul Krugman? The undeniably briliant, but helplessly out of touch left wing economist whose area of specialization is international trade not tax policy or spending.
Matt, Thanks. I'll enlist Krugman and Friedman both of whose credentials far outshine me, you, and J.K.

Willing to acknowledge that many economists disagree with the stimilus package? Many even believe that lowering taxes are the way to stimulate the econommy. And all economists, including those with different opinions on the economy, have more credentials than anyone here.

All of the culprits in the Climategate scandal are highly credentialled, but their fraudulent behavior in manipulating data invalidates any authority their degrees and tenure might have conferred.
Wasn't "question authority" a popular bumper sticker among the Left a few years ago? I guess it depends on whether the "authority" is on your side.
Posted by: BobN at January 22, 2010 5:29 PMExactly Bob-questioning leftist authority makes one a "hater',didn't you know that? The whining on Kmareka about not wanting to live under oligarchy or theocracy doesn't address the real danger:having to live in an anthill designed and controlled by leftist social engineers.Better off dead. But not like sheep.
