Will Patrick Lynch be Getting a Phone Call Tonight...

Carroll Andrew Morse

...and do we have a new issue in both the Rhode Island Attorney General's and the Governor's races, based on this facebook post from the Attorney General of Texas (h/t NRO)...

Texas attorney general Greg Abbott Facebooks: "I am organizing a conference call tonight for AGs across the country. We will discuss our litigation strategy about the healthcare bill. I will update you on Facebook after the conference call."

Great catch, Andrew.

Well, well. If he does get the call, this will put the RI AG on the horns of a serious dilemma. Politically - for the good of his own political advancement - it is clear that he should join the lawsuit. But early on, he was the President's Democrat liaison and supporter for the state of Rhode Island, as the rest of the RI Democrat Party went for Hillary. So how could he join the lawsuit without looking like a traitor?

Improved poll numbers? Or political loyalty? Such a difficult choice ...

I am always amazed at the success of "soak the rich" plans like this bill.

While speaking with an "East Side Liberal" today, it naturally came up. She wondered if I had been listening to NPR on the vote. I asked her if it didn't trouble her that most admitted they haven't read the Bill, "No, they can't find time to read every bill". How about all the back room deals and payoffs, "Well, they all have their own agendas and they have to be satisfied".

Are these commonplace "talking points" or are these only her own opinions?

I couldn't help but suspect that her opinions were shaped by her condition. She is intelligent and well educated, but "under performing" financially. This because of a choice to enter a field which is perhaps intelectually stimulating, does not pay very well.

...not sure the AG of Texas has the phone number to the 'Cathouse'.

This is a big boy issue and way out of Pubescent Patrick's league.

I don't think he has a legitimate shot at winning the Gov's seat, so he might as well stay loyal, overdo it even, and then when he does finally lose, get a job with the administration for two years and then run for election against either of the two Republican Representatives in Rhode Island.
