Exactly what I predicted would happen – absolutely nothing.
At least Rhode Island government is consistent. You can set your watch to the fraud, abuse, and free passes granted to the public/political class.
Virginia is very good about policing disability – I think the disability numbers for our fire/police are somewhere between 10-15%. This guy would have been tarred and feathered by our AG if he had tried to pull this crap down here. The people of this state do not stand for public corruption the way they do in RI.
Rhode Islanders understand the corruption in their government, but I don’t think they understand that it is not like that in other parts of the country. Government is actually honest, affordable, and accountable in many other states (most of which are not coincidentally right-to-work states). Do yourself a favor and move to one of them.

Put em all on social security and let them deal with SSDI if they “become disabled”.
I’m sure Raimondo and the geniuses in the GA will be dealing with municipal disability scams when they unveil their crackerjack pension plan in just 8 weeks…
