Paying Taxes: For Little People, Not State Legislators

We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes,… it should be noted that State Represenatative Bruce Long (R-Jamestown/Middletown) appears to believe that he has also left the ranks of the little people. According to a WJAR-TV report by Jim Taricani (“I-Team: Lawmaker Admits Failing to Pay Taxes“), Rep. Long has gone several years without paying business income taxes on the revenue generated by several Del’s lemonade outlets that he owns.
Gee, all those years in the General Assembly and he couldn’t procure his wife a Magistrate position to buy-off his wife?

I guess it really can be to one’s personal benefit to be a Democrat in Rhode Island.
