Senator Mel Martinez’s Unbelievable Message

According to CNN, Florida Senator Mel Martinez is trying to reassure Republican voters skeptical about the substance of the comprehensive immigration reform package by telling them it will be good politics for their party

On CNN’s Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer Sunday, [Senator Mel Martinez] said immigration “could be the saving of the Republican Party, frankly. And to do nothing would be the wrong thing for the American people.”
In other words, pass this bill, and you’ll see the same shift of support to the Republican party that you saw follow No-Child-Left-Behind and Medicare Part D.
That’s the message rank-and-file Republicans are hearing, even if Senator Martinez doesn’t realize that it’s the one he’s delivering.

“We need to demographically and economically destroy the country in order to save the Republican Party.”

What happened to the days of our elected officials doing what’s best for AMERICA instead of… well… whatever the Hell they’ve been doing for the last 20 years?!

His remarks ring completely hollow. We don’t need to pander to people who won’t like us no matter what we do. We just need to have a little backbone and stand our ground, based on our party’s own stated principles.

You people don’t get it. The Republicans that support this bill are FAKE. They are destroying their own party on purpose and handing the election to Hillary because she is the elite establishment pick. (California latinos voted %91-%7 for Clinton over Dole in 1996) Murdoch and Ailes have fundraisers for Hillary. Bill Clinton and GHW Bush are BUDDIES. WAKE UP. THE FIX IS IN. Mel Martinez knows exactly what he’s saying. He is the Judas goat leading the GOP sheep to slaughter. The GOP leaders are traitors to their party and country. They are not true conservatives.

Gotta love the message from Ron “9/11 was our fault” Paul.

Republicans are not conservatives unless they beleive in and adhere to conservative princables. If they did that, they would never be elected.

Believe it or not, Mike, those conservative principles play pretty well in a whole lot of the country.

“The GOP leaders are traitors to their party and country.”
Actually, the treason is very much bi-partisan. As is the opposition to the stalled amnesty bill.
