RI College Republicans Named Top Campus Activists in America

College Republican Federation of Rhode Island Chairman Ryan Bilodeau was unanimously elected as one of eight members in the nation to the National Credentials Committee of the College Republican National Committee (CRNC) this past weekend in Arlington, Virginia at the organization’s 57th Annual National Convention.The complete Young America’s Foundation list is available here.
“I am honored to have garnered the unanimous support for a committee entrusted with maintaining the integrity of the organization’s bi-annual elections,” remarked Chairman Ryan Bilodeau
The election victory comes just days after Chairman Ryan Bilodeau and Vice Chairman Dana Peloso were named to a list of the Top 15 Campus Conservative Activists in the United States by Young America’s Foundation. Young America’s Foundation, with tens of thousands of members on college campuses nationwide, is the leading, dynamic, and fresh face of the Young Conservative Movement and has been introducing young people to the conservative movement for more than 35 years.
If only more CR chapters around the country could be like RI’s.

The white-boy scholarship thing was a clever attention-getting device, and will probably land Ryan and Dana lucrative jobs at party HQ or conservative think tanks – they’ll be living larger than most of their classmates.
Lesson to college kids: go red and you’ll get the green.
Steve, you’re an idiot. The scholarship you are referring to was a satirical scholarship never handed out that was a way of politically expressing a position. The ACLU and the Providence Journal Editorial Board came out in support of the group. The award given to these College Republicans seems to be something worthy of attention. Keep up the good work to College Republicans at Roger Williams and URI!
Perhaps now this group will abandon their sophomoric stunts aimed at provoking crude sniggers and giggles from the crowd for their “satire” of minority issues. This is the best conservatives can muster?

Actually, I know There are several CR’s in ROTC who will be deployed to Iraq in the URI College Republicans. If Democrats can “support the troops” without wanting to fund them, certainly Republicans can support them without going over there. Saying someone needs to serve in Iraq to support the war is like saying someone needs to become a hematologist because they support ending cancer.
