He did great. And on the Depetro Show this morning.
Bob Walsh just e-mailed Yorke asking half kiddingly the source of Donald’s obsession with teacher compensation.
The concept of a citizen asking for good and accountable government seems to be foreign to Mr. Walsh. Conversely, Bob Walsh’s obsession with teacher compensation is abundantly if pragmatically clear.

Because Walsh’s teachers compensation is Donald’s (and our) property tax bill! 😉

I just heard from my AR buddy, Marc, that Bob Walsh’s email also pointed out to Dan that I used to be on the Arlene Violet show.
Think about this for the minute: Dan and I were discussing the serious issues related to teacher contracts – where I am doing things like quoting actual numbers from contractual salary schedules – and the best (only?) retort the head of the NEARI can come up with is that I did several stints on the show of a former radio competitor of Dan’s?!?!
Give me a break!

Donald,
Nice media exposure today and well deserved. Really good to hear the local bloggers who actually know what they’re talking about finally getting some air time around here.
Something to consider Don, with Pat Crowley as his #2 at the NEA and Guy Dufault being a friend and business associate of his exactly what behavior did you expect from Bob Walsh? lol

Excellent job, Donald. Not only was it a very substantive talk about the issue of illegal strikes by the teachers unions, but it provided Anchor Rising with more than one free advertisement to the radio audience (I’m sure Justin appreciates that). I guess we know that Dan reads our stuff occassionally.
Bob Walsh seems like a nice enough guy (I think Mephistopheles wouldn’t look half-bad in comparison to Pat Crowley), but Rhode Island is full of people like that (i.e., the General Assembly) … and our state is going nowhere fast. Quality people are leaving.
The NEA and their ilk act like a bunch of vultures gleefully picking on rotting corpses. Better yet, they take offense when the corpses (people like us) complain about being picked apart piece by piece! When will enough be enough?

Dan,
I have been a listener for several years. The nature of me govt job prevents me from calling your show to share opinions. I did some research on the internet this weekend to make the proper choice for president. I found a J. McCain position on limiting the taxes paid on 401K distributions to no more than 10%. I found this to be an idea that would encourage investment back into the stock market and an idea that would reward average people to save money for retirement. This would encourage American’s to do the right thing to protect their golden years. A tax break that encourages savings and helps our senior citizens have a better quality life beyond govt assistance.
What a great idea. I wanted to run this idea past Obama. Every link I found would not allow for voter feedback. If you were not interested in donating money there was no way to reach out to the candidate. You don’t have to listen to what the voters have to say but at least create the illusion you care. I’m so angry, I feel like I have been sucked into the Obama movement and denied the right to voice my opinion. I might have changed my mind on this election.
ps
99% of the time you do a great job.. WPRO should give you a raise.
