The End of Democracy
Yep, democracy is over. Scott Walker won by ordering the Wisconsin National Guard to stand in front of the voting booths and shoot any likely Tom Barrett voter who entered. Yes, democracy is dead.
Wait, what? Walker won because the opposition successfully pulled off getting a recall vote but then more voters sided with Walker over Barrett? Gee, that sounds exactly like democracy to me. Will these same people be crying (literally) when Obama spends more than a billion dollars on his election campaign?

My side lost = the end of Democracy.
I agree that saying the “end of democracy in America” is hyperbole. But, money does have too much influence in elections and government.
Chafee should be recalled for exceeding his authority with regard to a number of issues-apparently he doesn’t thnk a legislative branch is necessary-and unfortunately too many evil fools in the GA go along for their own purposes,not realizing where it will lead-to their total irrelevance.

Then again, sometimes we just don’t give voters enough credit for the good or the bad. I think CNN had an exit poll that showed most people had their minds made up before the advertising onslaught. I know it played a role but it’s to easy to blame big money. The irony is in ’08 Democrats were complaining about big money coming from Republicans when they themselves were the heavier spenders. I don’t recall too many Republicans whining that they were outspent and democracy was lost.
The union heads (AKA wannabe dictators) stole their members dues,wasted it and cost the state over 100 mil. in re-election costs. The results? Walker won by a larger margin than the first time he beat Barrett. Now that’s democracy!
Democracy is over? Good!! Thank God,because this supposed to be a Republic!
Quit the whining…what happened in Wisconsin is merely the polar opposite of what’s been going on for decades. Only now the unions aren’t screwing us, they are getting screwed. So, how does it feel???
