Buckley once famously commented that he would “rather be governed by the first 2000 names in the Boston phone book than by the 2000 members of the faculty of Harvard University”). Columbia has been the cool school in the Ivy League for a while now, taking that title from Brown…Is it really true, or is NR guilty of propagating a bit of New York hype here?
Possibly “cool” in this case is a euphemism for “liberal”.
Ever since “John John” graduated it’s been all downhill!
