So Let me get this straight….
We’re going to take a buyout and use future money from a tobacco settlement–money that was supposed to go towards anti-smoking education and help alleviate the pain and suffering of actual smokers (ahem)–so that we can, among other things, pay for some overtime that some sheriffs didn’t work in the past, but that they should have had a shot at. Cool.
Well Marc, on the Sheriff thing, maybe the State will start to listen when Unions say to them do it right the first time or it will cost you more in the end….
Time to fire some deputies…

It’s the sheriff’s department’s screwup that’s costing us money. Remember that.
And I’m disappointed at Spidey signing off on the tobacco bond – he just forfeited a chance to show some leadership. But then again, his sycophant Dan Yorke will probably let him off the hook.
