RE: Tony Snow, R.I.P.
As Don has noted, Tony Snow has passed away after a battle with cancer. Snow recently served as Press Secretary for the current Bush Administration, but he was perhaps best known as a conservative commentator and newsman (FOX). Undoubtedly partisan, he was also a class act. Snow’s tone and tenor is something sorely lacking in these politically charged times. God bless he and his family. He’ll be missed.
Tony Snow was indeed a class act. I was very saddened to hear about his passing. I feel like I know him personally because of my admiration for him.
My prayers and thoughts go out to his, wife, children and family.

Agree or disagree, but he was one of the few talking heads of the right who had respect across the aisle. Watching his interview on MSNBC today with David Gregory, you realize it takes a special guy to go on camera during a chemotherapy session (and while endangering some of the best hair in political pundit history).

I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Snow at an event in DC back at about the time he was appointed White House Press Secretary. I think I have a photo of it somewhere. To say he was a breath of fresh air after the dithering disaster which was Scott McClellan, would be putting it mildly. He was certainly the best press secretary that I can easily recall. Tony was a consummate professional all the way and just a great human being, on so many different levels. He will be missed by so many. R.I.P.

OK-I am sure you’re right because it wasn’t controversial.I said Tony was a class act and that his death was received differently than Russert’s by the media probably because with his illness it was kind of expected,while Russert just went suddenly.
I’ll buy the glitch theory.
I agree with Will about Joyce’s (?!) “contribution.” A little respect for the deceased goes a long way.
