Identify that Historic Figure
A snippet from his life and writings.
– Hundreds were reportedly executed on his watch, and that doesn’t include the deaths incurred in the wars he was constantly trying to start.
– When describing the differences in the strife between “Europeans” and “the black,” … [he] wrote, “their different attitudes of life separate them completely: the black is indolent and fanciful, he spends his money on frivolity and drink; the European comes from a tradition of working and saving which follows him to this corner of America and drives him to get ahead.”
Also the subject of posters, tee-shirts, CD cases and many other retail items, this was Che Guevara.
Glenn Beck’s complete commentary about Guevara, excerpted above, and a fashion tip on how to blend in when infiltrating a group of terrorists can be accessed here.
“is indolent and fanciful, he spends his money on frivolity and drink; the European comes from a tradition of working and saving which follows him to this corner of America and drives him to get ahead.”
At certain points in his life, the above quote also describes Glenn Beck.
Typical racist commie-they use people because it serves their ends-just like the limousine liberals-Castro sent many more Black Cubans to die in his insane Angolan campaign than White Cubans-did you ever see a Black person in the Cuban hierarchy?
Che was lucky in one respect – he died young enough to not have to deal with the fraud his revolutionary idealism would become. I recommend the movie “The Motorcycle Diaries”. It is the story of a road trip the Argentinian playboy Guevara made which brought him face to face with the inequality and poverty endemic in the South American societies of his youth. Although I imagine most readers of this blog will find it too sympathetic and romanticized, it is worth a view for it’s portrayal of 1950’s South America, and how that radicalized him.
White Cubans discriminating against black Cubans also happens in Miami, not just at the tourist hotels that provide the country’s few decent-paying jobs. It’s prevalent among Castro haters, too.
This comes from a magazine story a few years ago about the other 14 people on the boat with Elian Gonzalez. The only two adults who survived the trip were a mixed couple (he was dark-skinned), and he was shunned by her light-skinned relatives as they tried to settle in Miami.
Are there any dark-skinned Cubans in positions of power in South Florida politics or the media? Good thing Luis Tiant could pitch.
Rhody-can you just once in your life enter a debate without the “look what he did though….”syndrome?the subject was Cuba-not Miami.can’t get over your Castro hero-worship,can you?He runs a great little country-prison without trial for its own citizens(don’t even mention Gitmo),long lines to buy toilet paper, concentration camps for HIV positive Cubans,no free speech or press-basically what you leftists would bring here if you could-but you never will be able to-even with Obama in the White House(hopefully not)
Joe, I cop to being liberal enough to find your non-sequiturs rather endearing. Whatever you’re smoking, please drop a pinch in my pipe.
I don’t smoke tobacco or anything else, but you sure blow a lot of it when your socialist idols are challenged. You ought to meet Howie Bart, erstwhile talk radio host and a liberal-he could divert any conversation to an “equivalent”to avoid having to deal with the emptiness of his position-liberals have ensured the deterioration of this country by attempting to control our every waking moment.Every communist dictatorship has gun control laws that would make Bloomberg and Cicilline wet their drawers with joy.It is the dream of most liberals to have a disarmed and docile overtaxed population.
Leave it to Joe…he can turn any thread into a personal jihad.
‘Nuff said.
Blaming other ethnic groups, nations and cultures for being infected by European white supremacism is an interesting inversion of reality.
