The Mayor’s Call to Close the Pension Loophole is Welcome But …

… does anyone else have the impression that he wouldn’t be quite so indignant about the Providence Pension Board’s decision or quite so passionate about excluding future convicts from receiving a municipal pension if Frank Corrente had been a member of his rather than the prior administration?

Mayor David N. Cicilline wants the City Council to change an ordinance in order to bar city employees who serve time for corruption from getting taxpayer-subsidized pensions. And the mayor said he has retained a lawyer to try to stop a former City Hall official from collecting pension.
The mayor’s office said today the submitted proposal is prompted by the city Retirement Board’s recent decision to award a partial pension to Frank E. Corrente — once a top official in former Mayor Vincent A. Cianci Jr.’s administration — who was convicted for racketeering, conspiracy and attempted extortion as a result of the Operation Plunder Dome probe at City Hall.

Another pathetic joke from the stone-throwing, glass-house dwelling Sissyline clan who make their living getting sweetheart “deals” for felons from corrupt judges.
The mayor’s brother, Fat John, is headed to prison next week for municipal corruption. The mayor “didn’t know nothin’ about it” though he made sure every city vendor and employee got an invitation to Fat John’s “going away” party. The face value of the tickets was $35 BUT the extortion victims-I mean donors-were urged (wink, wink) to give “whatever you think is right”.
Then there is the $75,000 “check to nowhere” from Fat John which screwed the taxpayers in another deal the mayor “didn’t know nothin’ about”.
{ snip } In many countries Providence’s First Felon would be imprisoned, if not stood up in the town square and beheaded or stoned.
The Sissyline’s.
Is this what they call “chutzpah”?

I have this crazy feeling that, a few short years from now, we’ll be hearing Davey’s recent words used against him or someone in his administration and then the reporter asking “How do you reconcile what you said in 2008 with your defense today?”

The folks who “own” Anchor Rising should be proud to have right-wingnut Mike on their Team Mark Elbow Posted by mark elbow at October 9, 2008 9:17 AM I am not a “nut”. what I said is factually correct. The pathetic, filthy, depraved sexual acts the mayor engages in were felonies in this state while he was an “officer of the court”. They would indeed lead to his incarceration in many places around the world, including in our own hemisphere: News: Two Jamaican men found guilty of buggery Sunday, July 24, 2005 – 04:37 PM Printer-friendly page Jamaica Your Ad Here A five year buggery case against two prominent Manchester men climaxed in the Manchester Circuit Court on Thursday, when both were found guilty by Her Ladyship Ingrid Mangatal. By Byron McDaniel The convicted men are Azariah Morris, 52, an accountant and Keith Jackson, 60, a land surveyor from Rembrandt Close in Mandeville. They will be sentenced on Monday. The in-camera trial began on Monday before a seven-member jury who took 40 minutes to reach a guilty verdict. Evidence given at the hearing are that the men were caught nude having sex on October 2, 1999. Police witnesses say they were on patrol on Rembrandt Close investigating drug activities when they surprised the two men watching porn movies in a house while having sex. At the hearing, scores of curious persons converged near the court to catch a glimpse of and hurled insults at the men.imprisonment His felonious conduct would indeed get him executed in many countries: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2007/aug/29/nigeriasantigaywitchhunt http://www.thegully.com/essays/gaymundo/020104_saudi_gays_killed.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/50087332@N00/298265577 http://www.rawa.org/handcut.htm \ How does my accurate potrayal of the laws of this state and other nations of the world make me a “nut”? My larger point, which you fail to address, is that the stone-throwing… Read more »

After John gets out of jail,I am sure Little Chichi will be trying to grease the wheels to get his brother reinstated as a lawyer.
David Cicilline routinely lies when asked a hard question-he has no ethics and is basically an arrogant little pisspot.
He and Esserman are a swell pair.(retching noise)
