With the Medic
Bob Walsh is currently recovering from a stroke experienced during surgery. God willing, he’ll quickly be back in full form; hopefully he’ll take the meantime as an opportunity to enjoy a break from the battlefield.

I certainly wish him a very speedy recovery.
I’ve had several close relatives experience mild to moderate strokes in the last few years, and know that it can be a difficult adjustment, not only for the person afflicted, but for the immediate family as well. Hopefully for him, it’s not too severe and he can resume his regular activities as soon as possible.
I can say in all sincerity, that he is the absolute last person at NEARI I’d want to be in that predicament … not that I’d wish anyone ill, of course.

Praying for your speedy recovery Bob . You’re one of the few individuals I’ve met that actually listens to your opponents point of view .
Bob is always a gentleman_i’ve met him a few times and he is a decent guy to discuss issues with.Weirdly enough,I was wondering why he hadn’t made any appearances or statements during the current EP situation and wondered if he was okay.
I hope he makes a speedy and full recovery-a few friends of mine have had strokes and you couldn’t tell by meeting them that they ever had such a thing.
On any given issue Bob Walsh and I are about 180 degrees apart.
But that is all political and philosophical, not personal.

He was lucky that he was in the hospital when he had the stroke. Minutes count when a stroke happens. Phy Therapy will get him back to fighting and annoying us all soon enough.

Rhody-you ain’t kidding-laast year I had emergency surgery and they didn’t put me all the way under general anesthesia-they used Versid and Lidocaine-when I was more or less back to my senses I noticed I was getting a KCL IV,which can cause me really bad problems because of an underlying condition-I mentioned it and they switched it to NaCL,but by that time I was already experiencing some problems-it worked out ok,but even with good medical providers(mine certainly were)these things can happen.
I haven’t noticed an announcement on Bob’s condition on RIF.Strange.Maybe i missed it.
Sure enough-it was there-I just had to follow the link-it was part of a thread I didn’t read.
As a harsh critic of Bob (actually, of Bob’s rhetoric and policy views), I was startled to read this post and learn of his unfortunate situation.
I wish him a sincere and speedy recovery.
And I hope Bob comes out of this with the view that paying a mere 25% for the cost one’s healthcare is a bargain.
