Clearly the Obama administration wants no part of this.
Obviously Bush’s democracy programs in Iraq and Afghanistan are contagious.
It’s taken different forms, but look at Libya and now Iran. Libya is far from free, but look how much Khadafi has toned things down. Compare these countries now to what they were in 2000. Would this transformation have ever taken place if the U.S. had taken the Clinton approach to terrorism? I think not.

While I love to see the Iranian people stand up to their corrupt leaders, I think Obama’s playing it just right. If he took too active a role, the Ayatollah and Little Stevie Carell would yell “See! The revolution is being manipulated by those evil Americans!” and it would die.
Heated rhetoric from an American president is just what Mahmoud wants. Let’s not give it to him.
P.S.: Had to laugh at Pat Buchanan comparing the Iranians who stand by the corrupt dictator and would foil the revolution to Nixon’s Silent Majority (from Friday’s Morning Joe).

Bravo!
This extraordinary footage shows the government forces in Iran being overwhelmed by popular revolt.
Watch to the end. It is quite moving.
