House joins Senate in De-Funding ACORN

The U.S. House of Representatives has joined the Senate in overwhelmingly voting to defund ACORN after recent voter fraud allegations and a grassroots undercover investigation revealed a willingness by ACORN operatives in various states to encourage breaking U.S. law. This follows a decision by the Census Bureau to bar ACORN from assisting in the 2010 Census. Yesterday, ACORN decided to shut down operations across the country to conduct an internal review.
Rhode Island Representatives Patrick Kennedy and Jim Langevin voted FOR the de-funding, joining their Senate colleague Jack Reed in voicing their displeasure with the progressive, grass-roots organization. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse was the only member of the Rhode Island delegation to vote against de-funding ACORN.

Kennedy and Reed are only doing what is tactically expedient to insure their political well-being.
Whitehouse is too arrogant and addled to realize how asinine he looks.
Kennedy is probably being carefully minded by handlers in this period of time when he could unravel so easily.

I called the local Whitehouse office asking, “Why in the world would he (Whitehouse) not vote to defund ACORN?
The staffer had no answer but was aware of the story.
Later in the day, Projo has ran their interview.
Is there a disconnect in public relations or was I wrong to ask such a daring question?

Remember, Whitehouse is in office because y’all couldn’t wait to kick Chafee out of thete. Chafee would’ve voted to defund.

There may be more coming, if I understand the news blurbs correctly. James O’Keefe has videos of Planned Parenthood accepting donations “earmarked” for the abortion of only African-American babies.
I guess Planned Parenthood is returning to it’s Margaret Sanger roots. Any modern reader of her speeches would be apalled at the racism. When the Nazis decided to embark on a program of “purification” the first place they went was to Sanger’s Minnesota clinic.

Don’t be fooled, this is merely part of the shell game played by ACORN and other Obama allies (cf. STORM and the Ella Baker Foundation). ACORN will break up but its people and activities will transfer to a new entity with a new name.

Follow the people,not the organizations.
If you look at the radical left in Ri you’ll see the same names popping up in various groups. These people aren’t dumb-they diversify their efforts.

I have Charles Levesque go nuts when I mentioned that we needed Voter ID because of ACORN fraud. I had referred to Rep. Steve King, (R-Iowa) speaking in CSPAN at the time.
I wonder why?

ACORN = SEIU SEIU = ACORN.
They’re interchangable and the dirty fingers of George Soros are all over both.
Soros also has major fingers in the NBC/MSNBC pie so it’s not at all surprising that it was NBC who got the interview with Jimmy Osama bin Laden praises my books Carter as Jimmy played the race card right on cue from his party handlers.
It’s so sad what’s happened to my once great country.
Right on Joe. Sheldon Whitehouse is a feckless shell of a soul. Why limit it to the state of RI?? Shelley’s an embarrassment as a man.
Rhody, Shelley Whitehouse and Linc Chafee are two feathers from the same bird – the looney bird. They’re equally embarrassing in their lack of depth, intellect and character.

Defunding ACORN as a tradeoff for defunding Blackwater, Caryle Group, etc.?
I’m willing to talk.

Rhody-who cares?Sell that crap on RIF.

Funny how most of the people screaming bloody murder about ACORN are so quick to excuse Blackwater (excuse me, Ze, as they’ve renamed themselves).
ACORN hasn’t gotten anybody killed, far as I can recall. But who am I to stand in the way of the witch-hunting?

Here’s Rhody with his typical left wing snotbag “equivalence” argument-when those you support get their c**ks caught in the zipper, just point to someone else who’s even “worse”.

Here’s Joe, spouting his gratuitous nonsense again, indulging his fetish for turning ANY kind of thread into personal jihad (like I was one of the guys he used to arrest).
Damn, what a waste of bandwidth.

I’m telling ya Rhody-you’ll feel much more comfortable preaching to the choir at Kmareka or RIF.You can swap spit(figuratively)with “klaus” and Jesse and all the other Obamabots.
I thought of sayingsomething else, but it was really too rude-I’ll have to use it for Sheldon or somebody more deserving.

Joe, you have my permission to say something rude – after all, lack of permission has never stopped you before, right? 🙂

This one was just used on Sheldon.I know him and it applies.I don’t know you.Something to the effect of a turd in the punchbowl at a family reunion.
