If only we could return to the days of vacationing on the ranch or at the little cottage in Kennebunkport.
The least Mrs. Obama could do is take her resort vacation in the U.S. The latest story, that she went along to Spain to console her bereaved friend, comes too late to be credible. If true, she should have offered to console her at the White House, or Camp David, where security is already provided and paid for. She is not just Jane Doe anymore, and needs to learn to say “sorry, can’t do that with you”. Whether it’s 40 or 4 friends is irrelevant, it’s taxpayer money footing the majority of the travel bills. The glamour act when citizens in the US are flocking to food pantries because they don’t have a job is obscene.
