I haven’t seen a margin that decisive since Reagan whipped Mondale back in 1984! I’m glad we’ve finally gotten an elected official in this state held accountable for something, anything! I hope it starts a trend! Don’t let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
PS Does anyone know offhand if his recall is considered immediate, or does it take effect upon his replacement?
Per the ProJo article:
“The town’s Board of Canvassers scheduled a meeting for 10 a.m. today to certify the election results. Tocco will officially leave the council at that point.”
Per the Remove Tocco website:
739 votes to let him stay – 2,691 to oust him. A remarkable margin.
Also posted on the website – at length – is Mr. Tocco’s conduct, both official and unofficial, which led to this recall. The citizens of Smithfield had good reason to remove him from office. http://www.removetocco.com/
