Interesting

I just deleted two identical comments — one each on the latest posts here and on Dust in the Light — peddling the conspiracy that Barack Obama is a packaged “product” of powerful corporations with Republican ties, with the objective of building a nuclear power industry across the nation.
That may be the first political attack spam that I’ve noticed as such.
Anybody know Karl Rove’s IP address?

For some reason, I’m tending to think it might be Hillary’s IP instead. There’s nothing worse than to accuse your primary opponent of being a tool of the other party. That being said, anything is possible, isn’t it?
PS The most recent conspiracy theory (and there’s plenty!) I’ve heard re Barack Obama (by the way, I don’t buy that he’s a “secret Muslim”), is that he’s being backed by the Council on Foreign Relations. Interestingly, the initials C.F.R. when transliterated into Arabic, can spell the word “Cafir,” meaning “Infidel.” My guess is that he’s probably not the Antichrist though. Discuss. 😉

Yes, actually, on Friday, The Glenn Beck Show “carried live” a segment of The Lucifer Show in which Beelzebub said he had considered but ultimately rejected the idea of making Obama the Antichrist.
Seriously, the only scary thing about Senator Obama – and it is scary – is the extravagant proposals he has outlined for his presidency and our wallets.

Next thing you know, Obama will be dealing cocaine and arms to Queen Elizabeth. Ah, the Internets.

The story abut Obama taking big money from the nuclear industry and then helping spike a regulation is a legitimate story which has been covered by mainstream media.
The sad part is that there is nothing dramatic or conspiratorial about the story. Money buys Congress every day; both parties, all ideologies.

What’s wrong with nuclear power? The French have been using it for over 30 years and they aren’t glowing in the dark or sitting on drums of waste or whatever gibberish the naysayers are spewing this week in their never-ending attempt to return us to pre-industrial revolution days.

I happen to like nuclear power. My point is that both parties are bought and sold by money and that the Obama-nuclear issue is mainstream and not some conspiracy. Here is the NY Times story:
