ZombObamies?

Given the temple like setting of tonight’s address by The One, I’m tempted to allude to Acolytes worshiping in hopes of witnessing the Ascension…..
But maybe we should switch metaphors….

More about the movie, “The Ghost Breakers,” here (yes, that last line was actually spoken). (h/t)

Yeah, it looks JUST like a temple.
Or any one of hundreds of government buildings around the country designed to invoke the spirit of the ancients who invented the concept of democracy.
Sheesh, reach much?

Thanks for not disappointing Greg. I knew if I tugged on the Obamabinkie hard enough…..And you’ve got to lighten up. It was a joke meant to lead into the Bob Hope line on the video. Guess you didn’t find that funny.
Ya know, for a guy who seems to pride himself on his cynical realism (like your “idiot Riers” comment to Justin’s “Union” piece below), you sure seem to have fallen hard for the Obama show.
To tell you the truth, I think you’re just too stubborn to jump of the Obamawagon now. Little bit of Fonzi syndrome, perhaps?

Hey man, if the other guy didn’t come off as a 72 year old cantankerous douche promising four more years of bad ideas I’d be all over the Republican ticket. I’m just picking the side that will bring the boys home instead of leaving them in Iraq for the next 100 years at $10 billion a month.

See, that’s the thing. I figured you’d just sit it out at this point!
And don’t be so sure that Obama is going to really bring ’em home. Reality “on the ground” has a funny way of changing political “reality.”
Anyway, can you and I sing Kumbaya now?

I can’t sit it out. I feel it’s my duty to vote.
I realize that, too.
Oh def. My political fire doesn’t extend to the personal. I’ll rip and tear ideology and then go drink beers with my opponent.

Did anybody see Bush speak at the ’04 convention? He spoke in front of columns, too.
And McCain made his 13th appearance on Leno Monday night (Obama’s been on once). McCain’s spent more time on Leno’s couch than even Ah-nold. Not to mention McCain’s numerous SNL appearances (he even hosted it). Who’s the bigger celebrity in this race?
The attacks on Obama are growing more desperate by the hour. But then again, maybe speaking in front of a large cheering crowd IS a sign of villainy.

Hey! Barack Obama just said something I agree with!
“In ten years, we will end our dependence on oil from the Middle East.”
Excellent! Let the domestic drilling begin on all fronts.

A little off topic I suppose but in response to a post above…
Politicians don’t bring troops home, Generals do! Politicians need to learn to get back in the business of determining the objective then getting the heck out of the way and don’t change the objective every time a “media poll” is published. Military planners and military units have the job of reaching those objectives using the resources and manpower necessary, of course within the limits of acceptable warfare (i.e. don’t use a nuke when a bunker buster will do…) 🙂 Then, when the objective is reached, bring em’ home!
Sorry for the rant off topic.
