A couple of William F. Buckley, Jr., displays:
What a great man. Had he more political ambition, he would have been America’s Churchill.
It just seems appropriate that Buck is honored in Rhode Island on a week that the General Assembly overrode the governor’s veto on a cause dear to him (and one of his departures from conservative dogma).
When my 9 year old nephew died from meningitis, the priest at the funeral spoke of the idea that it is so “unfair” that a young child would be taken from the world by noting that God needs children in Heaven too.
Mr. Buckly lived a long, productive life. But for those of us who were inspired by him; we most certainly wish he were still here to guide us through troubling political times. But now God has William F. Buckley advising him. And that gives me hope (Real Hope) that the world will come back to His Purpose.
