Lest We Lose Our Sense of Dark Awe

A little pre-bedtime reading:

The government ran up the largest monthly deficit in history in February, keeping the flood of red ink on track to top last year’s record for the full year.
The Treasury Department said Wednesday that the February deficit totaled $220.9 billion, 14 percent higher than the previous record set in February of last year.
The deficit through the first five months of this budget year totals $651.6 billion, 10.5 percent higher than a year ago.
The Obama administration is projecting that the deficit for the 2010 budget year will hit an all-time high of $1.56 trillion, surpassing last year’s $1.4 trillion total. The administration is forecasting that the deficit will remain above $1 trillion in 2011, giving the country three straight years of $1 trillion-plus deficits.

Government means never having to say you’re broke. The rest of us have to go to sleep to dream.

This President and this Democrat Congress are the worst possible combination to be in power at this time in our nation’s history.
The damage they are doing will be permanent.
Out of control federal spending at a time of slow economic grow, levels of debt never seen before, states are broke, government programs like Medicare cannot sustain the baby boomer population coming online, pensions are unfunded…..
The 2nd Great Depression is coming folks and it’s coming sooner than you think.
This Republic is going under and I think most Americans are finally beginning to realize it.

Yep, those Bush fueled health care costs, unfunded wars, tax cuts for the wealthy and financial deregulation Great Recession are coming back to bite us – probably for a decade or more. You better get used to it, unless you support fixing all those things.
