Obama/Romney Debate: Moderator Lends a Hand (Twice)
Due to technical issues, I heard only scattered snippets of the debate last night (so I did not realize how it went until learning this morning that they were all but rushing counselors and a case of Zoloft to stricken MSNBC commentators).
At one point, however, the livestream kicked in just at the moment that the moderator, Jim Lehrer, said this.
But, Mr. President, you’re saying in order to get the job done, it’s got to be balanced.
Did I hear correctly? The moderator is actually helping President Obama answer a question?
Yes, he was – Breitbart confirms with the clip, below. It turned out, in fact, to be the second half of a two-part assist (on a question about whether to raise taxes to balance the budget).
The left claimed Lehrer was incompetent and Romney did nothing but ‘bully’ him. I guess they don’t appreciate or didn’t comprehend Lehrer’s toss of the life ring.
Obama’s “5 seconds left” scolding of Lehrer came off as extremely rude and petty. He then proceeded to take far more than 5 seconds in finishing his response.
Tsk,tsk Hussein. You suck when you don’t have a teleprompter. Lehrer was just trying to help Hussein when the poor Marxist was lost for words. The amazing idiot president. I think he should let moron Biden stand in for him. At least Biden will look up when he tells a whopper…and even laugh at himself.

The word “bully” has developed a life of its own in the last few years. Everyone knows it is bad, so anyone tainted with it is bad. It is not the nature of the offense, it is the seriousness of the charge.
The leftist racist scum are calling Lehrer “too old and too White”for the job.Rank discrimination,and yet the head of PBS,Paula Kerger threw Lehrer under the bus.
I don’t think Lehrer is a conservative by any stretch.
