Progressive Democrat State Senator Bridget Valverde (East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, and Narragansett) tweeted last night:

Today’s headlines about the Texas abortion ban and SCOTUS’ failure to protect Texans’ reproductive rights turn my stomach. It is a fleeting comfort to think how lucky we are here in Rhode Island that we finally won the decades-long fight to codify Roe v. Wade in 2019.

This is her first non-retweet tweet since early July, and going through the rest reveals no “stomach turning” over Afghanistan, immigrant children in cages at the southern border, slavery in China, or… anything, really.

But the fact that people in a state in which she doesn’t live prefer a government that doesn’t treat a living baby with a heartbeat as comparable to a tumor makes her ill.
